i enjoy a lot of cult movies.  rocky horror, the original animated transformers movie and akira rate as some of my favorites. but the warriors, a conceptualization of the struggles of the mythic greek solider xenophon, superimposed onto the gangs of new york (not the shitty movie) in the late 70s, is my all-time favorite. violent, campy, psycho, it’s all there.  if you’ve never seen it, put it on the top of your netflix queue.  it’s a superior way to spend an evening.  can you dig it?
