so i just finished watching this movie, and i really enjoyed it (i went in knowing, despite adam sandler, seth rogen, and judd apatow, that it wasn’t a comedy), and when i did the obligatory imdb search after it, i discovered that the movie is loosely based on ‘the great gatsby.’  it’s one of those things that when you hear it, you immediately go ‘ohhhh yeah.’  good movie either way, but cool to look back and see the parallels.
