ok, so my new year’s resolution is to condemn less and inform more. so for example, instead of going ‘interpol, the national, arcade fire (all of whom i enjoy) and half of the new bands from the last four to five years are wholesale ripping off joy divison,’ i’ll simply go ‘this is joy division, they are a huge influence on modern music today, both in sound and aesthetic.’
